Return to peacefulness...

Sounds so spiritual? No. I'm not. I love the word, peacefulness. Made me realise and appreciate my holidays even more.

I'm back to holidays!!! Currently enjoying the peace (yes, peace. Not piece) of mind by watching most Olympic games on TV. For me, holidays often associated with watching televisions. Had been my habit for years. Other than just TV for holidays, I went for movie, as I will do with Sow Lei Wei. Batman! Great movie and mind-raping. And my cousin's speech at his school. OK. That's what I had done so far...

What else should I include in this post?
Yes, how could I ever forget to do a summary of my semester!
What I did was a damned research paper (seems like doing research is a never-ending thing, isn't it?) and a trial. Trial. I didn't type it wrong or you misread. A trial, as if like a courtroom situation, there's the judge, prosecutor, defence lawyer, witnesses, accused, and the juries (not the Malaysian legal system that was used in this trial). I had been to trials conducted by Mr. Borges for my friends in the American degree classes however it has never crossed my mind that I will be doing this too! Felt glad and grateful to do so, as this spell a break from the normal boring assignments that students normally do.

Post trial. That's Mr. Borges in the middle.

That was after the trial. Everyone were busy taking pictures with each other with costumes on! Ha, ha, ha!

Dave and Pui Teng, my personal favourite.

The boys in my class... Silly pose, right?

Mr. Borges and I.

As I mentioned earlier, I learned a lot from this man's class. Other than the trial, certain things that he said I can still remember are
1. "I don't understand those that visit the art museum... I was visiting an art museum, there's two people looking at a painting... They were looking for a long time... I don't know what does the painting means!... I asked them 'What... what it was about?'... The goatee guy was like, 'um huh, um huh'... Come on!"
2. "Look at this picture, the girl. She's so disgusted by this guy. I guess it's taken in Midwest US, where people are more conservative... Definitely not my place San Francisco... People there basically don't care."
3. "Texas loves killing people!... It's because of the cowboy background... An eye for an eye"
4. "Oh... I wish I can have the sarcastic expressions from his face..."

Sounds funny? If it doesn't to you, try to add some sarcasm into it. Ha, ha, ha!
That's the random things he said he class that I can recall for now.

Karmen and I. My friend and ex-neighbour. She will be going to the States this month, probably. All the best for your new life in US!!!

Another friend who left uni after this semester, Jee Fung. Good luck in your work life!

Well, that's all I have to pen down. Till the next blog...

Affairs in Marriage...

OK. Semester break now.
As usual, I read some books to fill up (kill) the free time of my holidays. Finished watching a movie I downloaded yesterday. Yeah, one of those that left you confused for the next few days...

Coincidently both book and movie I read and watched have a same topic: extramarital affair. Don't ask me the reason for that. I picked the book and movie randomly. Didn't expect that the book and movie will discuss on this issue.

Tony Parsson's 'My Favourite Wife'

I bought this book along with 2 Grisham's book and Lee Chong Wei's biography with the RM 200 book voucher months ago. As I said, I picked the book randomly...
The story is basically simple, a lawyer and his family moved to Shanghai for a better life. At Shanghai, the lawyer, Bill learned the dark side of China's glowing economic and encountered with a Li JinJin, a lonely mistress.  Here is the summary of the book.
Read it... I'm sure you'll learn something from it.

'A Dangerous Method'

Once in a while ( or always) there'll  be a movie that left you confused for days...
The movie revolved on three main characters, Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung and Sabina Spielrein, which are well known psychologists in the early 20th century.
The story began when Keira Knightley's Sabina Spielrein was sent to a mental institute in Switzerland. Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender) was her psychiatrist. Sabina later when to university after her condition was stable. Then the affair with her doctor started... Almost forgotten Sigmund Freud. No! He doesn't come between Carl Jung and Sabina, he's Carl Jung's friend.

Crazy and wild movie... Seriously, Keira Knightley is one crazy person! She loved being... er... spank... And ask Carl Jung to do that... What the hell?! Honestly, I never seen Keira Knightley in such physically disturbed role.

I heard many real life stories on affairs, mostly from people that I don't know. I never really heard people around me such as friends encountered this problem. A good sign, perhaps. First of all, friends around me are about the same age as I do, which they are still single. Secondly, I assume that couples (whether I knew or don't) stay loyal in their marriage.

Holidays (I Want More!)...

My new semester officially starts. I must attend every lectures from tomorrow onwards. No more holidays.
Which means I have to wait till December holidays, a week before my birthday.

Who doesn't love holidays?! If you don't, you're not normal...
It's just when you have too much or too long, holidays, you tend to be lazy.

As I calculated, I'm on holiday for 1 month and 7 days. That's the period you have of you're still in school. In universities, your holidays will be less than a month. Seriously.

I want more holidays. 2 months more! That's greedy. When you have to much of laziness, fun, time-wasting, hanging out days, you would not want to go back to your school/university/offices. That's a fact. Who wouldn't want to laze around, sleep, hang out at eatery places and most importantly (for a girl) go for clothes hunting? When you're occupied with your daily routines or duties, you won't be able to find time for it or simply no mood.

I actually managed to finished a book during holidays. Been a while since I read. I'll do the same for the next holidays. A good story.

I have 4 months until my December holidays. Also, 8 weeks more to another Mid-Semester Break.
Shouldn't be counting... This will make me gone nuts...

p/s: Sow Lei Wei, when you're coming back in December? Want to go watch movies? 'Adventures of Tintin'. 'Breaking Dawn'. 'Mission Impossible'. And more... See you then!

Sepang Gold Coast Resort...

This was where I went over the weekend. The place was no bad, really. However I'm not in favor for beaches and sun as I'd been living in a tropical country and experience 365 days of summer. If you're from the cold countries, this is the place where you should go for warmth and sunlight.

The main entrance and reception.

The view of reception area from behind.

The clubhouse and dining area.

View from the top. Look at the swimming pool... Borderless view.

My cousin and his camera, up to something...
My bedroom. The bed was really comfortable. Like those in the movies.

Living room.

The beach.

Dinner on the beach...

This is my favorite picture. I took this pair of father-daughter enjoying themselves during dusk.

Our 2nd dinner of the night: Steamboat.

Other than eating, what we did was walking around and taking pictures. Come on, it's holiday, right? Should get some time to relax.

Holidays...

My first semester at university has ended last week. So it's holiday for me now!

What I did for a short semester was really hectic. I finished 3 subjects, 3 books and many projects and assignment in sightly 2 months' time. Can you imagine it? One whole 'Introduction to Mass Communication', 'Mass Media' and quarter of 'Communication Theory' books in a short time. What my classmates and I did to finished all 3 (or 2) subjects in 2 months' time? Go to class, talk and alah alah sit in dining hall surfing the web. Yes that's what we did.
I can say that I'm done with 'Communication Theory'. To some of my classmates, they have to take this subject in the next semester as they dropped it. Well, all the best to you(?)

What I'm doing next semester? 5 or 6 subjects plus MPW.
What's happening next semester? Don't know. More fun and assigments?!

p/s: I'm having holidays now. So what about the Form 6 classmates? Sow Lei Wei, Su Ann, Ju Yi and others...

December sky...

Woah... STPM has finally ended!!! That means I'm finally free now! Over the weekend, I spent some time with my family and also friends. Bee Yen took Chee Wei, Wen Ling and I to a steamboat dinner after the last paper.

Chee Wei kinda “姐手姐脚”while trying to hit the crab.

Standing next to 2 pretty girls made me really stressed...!

What's my plan after STPM? I'm still looking for an answer to it...

Over the weekend, while my family and I were out for holidays, my neighbour, 'Isaac's' house was robbed. The thief had stolen his cash and passport. 'Isaac' came and asked my mother did our house were robbed. Thankfully, nothing happened over the last 2 days while we were out. My passport and my parents' expired ones are still here... The forensic dude came late in the evening. He told us that the thief broke in through the glass slide door, not the wooden door that we usually use. He also suggested us to buy the 'clamps' to lock the glass slide door.

At dinner with Chi En and family. we still discussed about Australia. As Malaysian, every working community work for 8-9 hours a day. However, Australians, don't adapt this working cultural. They probably work for less than 15 hours per week! Why? Australian government, just say, subsidise the lower income ones A$500 a week. It's a contradiction, really. You wanted to help the people, but in the same time, you're encouraging them not to work to much. The 7 of us couldn't agree on this issue. This is what we call 'pengangguran tidak ketara' on Economics. Secondly, the food there are real expensive. A normal Western dish cost about RM 40-50. Dr. Teh said their businesses never survive...

As a result, nothing compare to Malaysia!
