Hipster and be fun of it!

In love with these so-called hipster cafes around Klang Valley. Frankly I had been to a few and eager to discover more!

Ever since, I don't go to those mainstream coffee (well, you can guess which I am addressing).

Here are two that I really love.

1. Whisk Outpost, One Utama Shopping Centre.

Discovered this place couple of years ago. Guess this was the earliest start for the hipster cafe trend.

Inside the shop. Added the filter effect from Vintique and VSCO to make them hipster-like.

Coffee and sweet delicacies. The Cold Brew Coffee is the 'bomb'! Recommend it for coffee lovers. And yes, plenty of macarons there too. Cakes are not refrigerated, which is the first time I seen it.

Hipster-like design. A great place to chill and relax for the weekends.

2. Garage 51, PJS 11/9, Bandar Sunway.
Read blog reviews and searched pictures from this place in Instagram before finally to try out yesterday night.
Here is my thought: Pleasant setting, situated in a less pleasant environment. The food and drinks are awesome!

Was crowded when I reached at around 8 p.m.

Piccolo Latte. Real coffee for real lovers.

I had realised I became caffeine-immuned these days. I can take strong coffees and few hours later, sleep like a baby. Ironic?

I don't know what was this exactly. A combination between bread and meat, I think. But it's delicious and filling!

Awesomely good fries! Best I tasted so far.

Read about this drink on different blogs. It is Coffee Société's signature drink, which has coffee, milk and Nutella in it. Sound promising? I should try it for my next visit then!

That's it for now.
I'll post food and places' pictures on my Instagram account, whenever I go food hunt.

Let the pictures speak.

Writer's note: I am currently in my holidays now. Six to seven months to go before graduation ceremony.

Writer's note 2: I need to find a job in the writing or journalism field. Or else, what I had learned throughout my degree will be in the waste bin.

Food fight!!!

This may be a 'never-before-seen' scenario to some of you. But I had witnessed it many times, in several places...

Couple of days ago, I went for steamboat buffet dinner at a well-known restaurant in Sunway area (I'd given the big hint... So some may guessed it right which restaurant I'm addressing...).
OK. It's kinda a culture/common scenario in the restaurant, where people fight for food. Yes, typical Chinese restaurant I called it. No, people are not cutting queues or punching on each other to get the food. As I said, this is a buffet steamboat restaurant. The food has been there already. The specific food that people were fighting for was the grilled chicken wing.
If you ask me why, I can state out 2 reasons; 1. the chicken wings taste good, what my father told me, 2. limited supply. Once the chicken wings were served, it will be taken off in approximately 1 minutes.
I noticed that the chicken wings were served in every 10 minutes. Before the staff was even there, patrons started queuing up for the it! Swept off in about 1 minute!
My father 'fought' to get the chicken wings for 3 rounds. On the last round, I suggested him to take the big spoon to get as many as he wanted. And he did. I was (unwillingly) given a piece of chicken wing.

Unbelievable? You better believe it! And if some of you still don't know where exactly, ask around. It's not hard to look for it.

Chatime, My love...

There's this thing.
It's been some time since I had a cup of bubble tea. And also the Taiwan plastic scare made me stay away more from Taiwanese food and drinks, which I love very much.

Honestly, after my trip to Taiwan, I don't really have much chances to taste Taiwanese food. Well, there's actually a Taiwanese restaurant in Gardens Mid Valley, 'Feng Lye' which serves Taiwanese delicious food. However, it's just being too pricey...

Back to the topic.
Recently there's this new obsession among young people in the city about a particular stall. Initially, I have no idea why it is so special. Just bubble milk tea with pearl. But, I was wrong.

Chatime was a drink franchise from Taiwan. They not only serve bubble milk tea, also tea, blended juices and more.

Chatime's outlet in Summit USJ. I prefer to go this outlet than the one in Gardens MV because it's always and always crowded there.

One of my favourite from the menu, 'Black Tea'. Another one was 'Japanese Matcha Red Bean Smoothie'.

p/s: Writing this post made me crave for Chatime more... I want Chatime, now!

Besides that, there's this promotion going on, collect 10 stamps and get one cup free.
